Mille Miglia Lake Garda Driving Experience – Mercedes-Benz
Following the Legends Around Lake Garda
About This Tour
Experience the magic of the Mille Miglia 2026 from the starting line in Brescia while driving one of the world’s most iconic classic cars: the Mercedes-Benz SL. This exclusive Lake Garda driving tour combines spectacular alpine roads, hidden valleys, elegant lakeside towns, and Italy’s most famous historic car event. Behind the wheel of a classic Mercedes-Benz SL Pagoda or R107, you’ll discover scenic coastal roads, remote mountain passes, world-class wines, and the unmistakable atmosphere of “La corsa più bella del mondo” — the world’s most beautiful race.
Your journey begins with a warm welcome at Verona Airport before we escort you to the luxurious A-ROSA Resort south of Salò on Lake Garda. In the afternoon, your classic Mercedes-Benz SL awaits for its first drive through the celebrated Lugana wine region.
With the top down and the sound of the Mercedes-Benz engine accompanying you, you cruise along vineyard-lined country roads and peaceful lakeside scenery. A highlight of the day is an exclusive visit to the historic Perla del Garda winery, including a cellar tour and tasting of the region’s elegant Lugana wines.
The evening is yours to enjoy at leisure — perhaps with a glass of wine overlooking the shimmering waters of Lake Garda.
Today’s route leaves the busy shoreline behind and heads deep into the hidden mountain valleys west of Lake Garda. Narrow roads, sweeping bends, and dramatic scenery make this a perfect driving day for your classic Mercedes-Benz SL.
The remote Valvestino Valley feels untouched by time, with winding roads carving through forests, cliffs, and alpine landscapes. By midday, you arrive at Lake Idro, a peaceful mountain lake far removed from mass tourism.
In the afternoon, the road continues through one of Northern Italy’s most scenic driving regions before reconnecting with Lake Garda near Gargnano. As sunset settles over the hills, we gather for a relaxed aperitivo on the hotel terrace.
Today we head north into the most dramatic part of Lake Garda, where mountains rise almost straight from the water and the roads deliver one spectacular view after another. We drive via Alpe del Garda, stop for coffee in Limone and continue through Riva del Garda to Torbole at the northern end of the lake. In Torbole, we stop for lunch at La Cantinota (not included), with time afterwards to explore Torbole and Riva on your own. Then it’s back behind the wheel for the drive south to Salò. That evening, we leave the classics at the hotel and transfer to Villa Arcadio for dinner together. The tour concludes in unforgettable style with a farewell dinner at Villa Arcadio high above the lake — a perfect combination of candlelight, fine Italian cuisine, and panoramic views over Lake Garda.
Today you experience the legendary Mille Miglia 2026 up close in Brescia. Long before the official start, Viale Venezia transforms into a living museum of automotive history as nearly 400 historic race cars line up for the beginning of “La corsa più bella del mondo.”
You’ll have ample time to admire the pre-war masterpieces, speak with drivers and teams, and immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of Italy’s most prestigious classic car event. Military bands, cheering crowds, and the famous Frecce Tricolori aerobatic team create an unforgettable spectacle as the Mille Miglia officially begins.
After this extraordinary finale, we accompany you to Verona Airport or back to your hotel for an extended stay.
Italy
Lake Garda
Lake Garda, Italy’s largest lake, has been one of Europe’s most beloved travel destinations for decades. Surrounded by dramatic mountains, Mediterranean vegetation, elegant villas, and charming lakeside towns, the region offers some of the finest scenic driving roads in Europe.
The mild climate allows olive groves, vineyards, and lemon gardens to flourish along the shoreline, while alpine valleys and mountain passes rise just minutes away. Historic wine regions such as Lugana, Bardolino, Valpolicella, and Soave make the area especially attractive for wine lovers.
For classic car enthusiasts, Lake Garda offers the perfect combination of relaxed lakeside cruising and challenging mountain roads. Panoramic routes like the famous Gardesana coastal road alternate with hidden alpine roads around Monte Baldo and the Valvestino Valley — ideal terrain for the timeless Mercedes-Benz SL.
The nearby city of Brescia hosts the legendary Mille Miglia each year, where some of the world’s most valuable historic automobiles gather to celebrate Italy’s golden age of motoring.
