Mille Miglia Lake Garda Driving Experience – Alfa Romeo
Experience the World's Most Beautiful Race Up Close
About This Tour
Experience the legendary start of the Mille Miglia 2026 in true Italian style – behind the wheel of a classic Alfa Romeo Spider. This exclusive driving tour combines the elegance of Lake Garda, spectacular alpine roads, hidden villages, and the unmistakable atmosphere of Italy’s most famous historic car rally. From panoramic mountain passes and vineyard-lined roads to gourmet dining and the thrilling starting grid in Brescia, every day is designed for lovers of classic cars, Italian culture, and unforgettable driving experiences.
Your Alfa Romeo adventure begins at Verona Airport, where you’ll meet your fellow travelers and the Nostalgic team. Soon after, you take your place behind the wheel of your classic Alfa Romeo Spider – an icon of Italian Dolce Vita motoring.
The first stage leads through the picturesque Lugana wine region, famous for its rolling vineyards, cypress-lined lanes, and charming villages. Along scenic country roads, you arrive in Borghetto sul Mincio, one of northern Italy’s most beautiful medieval villages. Historic fortifications and battlefields from the conflicts between the Habsburg Empire and the Kingdom of Sardinia-Piedmont add fascinating historical depth to the day’s drive.
The evening is yours to enjoy on the shores of Lake Garda.
After breakfast, the route climbs toward Monte Baldo, one of the most spectacular panoramic roads in northern Italy. As your Alfa Romeo Spider winds through sharp serpentines and alpine meadows above 1,600 meters, the atmosphere changes completely: cool mountain air, dramatic landscapes, and breathtaking views over Lake Garda.
At lunchtime, you stop at a peaceful agriturismo near Arco, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. The relaxed countryside setting perfectly captures the slower rhythm of northern Italy.
In the afternoon, the famous Gardesana lakeside road leads you back along the western shores of Lake Garda. The day concludes with authentic regional cuisine at Trattoria Clementina, where traditional Italian home cooking and local wines create the perfect ending to a memorable driving day.
Today combines spectacular driving roads with one of Lake Garda’s most exclusive experiences: a private visit to Isola del Garda.
Your morning route crosses the dramatic Alpe del Garda region before descending toward Limone sul Garda, where colorful waterfront promenades and relaxed cafés invite you to pause for lunch.
Later, a private boat transfer takes you to Isola del Garda, home to the historic Villa Borghese Cavazza and the Cavazza family. Surrounded by subtropical gardens and shimmering lake views, the island feels like a hidden world suspended in time.
Back on the mainland, the farewell evening is celebrated with a gourmet seafood dinner in Peschiera del Garda – refined Italian cuisine in an unforgettable lakeside setting.
The grand finale takes you directly into the heart of the Mille Miglia 2026.
From the early morning hours, Brescia transforms into a celebration of automotive history. Historic Bugattis, Ferraris, Alfa Romeos, Aston Martins, and Mercedes-Benz classics line the streets while thousands of enthusiasts gather around the famous Viale Venezia starting ramp.
You’ll experience the electric atmosphere up close: drivers preparing for departure, engines roaring through the city center, espresso bars filled with racing conversations, and photographers capturing every historic detail.
At 12:30 sharp, the first teams officially begin the Mille Miglia 2026. From your reserved lunch location beside the route, you watch hundreds of legendary automobiles depart toward Rome on “La Corsa più bella del mondo” – the most beautiful race in the world.
After this unforgettable experience, transfers are provided back to Verona Airport or your hotel extension.
Italy
Lake Garda & Brescia
Lake Garda, Italy’s largest lake, has been one of Europe’s most beloved travel destinations for generations. Framed by the Alps and surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, medieval villages, and elegant lakeside towns, the region offers a perfect blend of Mediterranean atmosphere and alpine scenery.
The driving routes around Lake Garda are among the most beautiful in Italy. The famous Gardesana road hugs dramatic cliffs above the lake, while the remote mountain roads around Monte Baldo and Valvestino offer endless curves, panoramic views, and wonderfully quiet driving experiences – ideal terrain for a classic Alfa Romeo Spider.
Historically, the region played a major role in the unification of Italy, with battlefields, castles, and fortifications still visible throughout the countryside. Today, however, Lake Garda is all about leisure, fine wine, excellent cuisine, and relaxed Italian elegance.
The highlight of this journey is the start of the Mille Miglia in nearby Brescia. Since 1927, the Mille Miglia has become the world’s most celebrated historic car rally, attracting collectors, drivers, and enthusiasts from around the globe. Experiencing the starting atmosphere in Brescia is a dream for every classic car lover.
